Drawing is the foundation for every project and inks are made using trees, plants and the earth to create a softness and calm in the mark making.

These drawings are created using seasonal inks made by the artist from Alder and Elder trees and drawn using Japanese dip pens, onto handmade cotton.

The walnut wood frames are made locally using UV glass to protect the delicate inks.

Winter Trees 1 has made from Alder Ink using the catkins that are like jewels, hanging from the bare branches in winter.
